United for Community Radio works with radio hosts, independent journalists and the community to promote fast, reliable in depth news and public affairs programs on KPFA without pro-corporate spin. We want more independent media journalists, interns, apprentices and volunteers to bring new resources to KPFA. We advocate for more, podcasts, videos, community calendar postings and use of social media connections on kpfa.org. We oppose reliance on corporate news-feeds, and corporate underwriting.

This posting has no official association with or financial support from the Pacifica Foundation or KPFA. Opinions and facts alleged here should not be assumed to reflect positions of Pacifica or any of its stations.

United for Community Radio members want to build a powerful news and public affairs network.

KPFA and Pacifica’s 5 stations and 200+ affiliates are irreplaceable, strategic and transformative resources for amplifying the voices of millions who are overlooked, marginalized or silenced by corporate media in the face of police militarization, racism; and housing, health, water, economic, educational, and environmental depredation. We forge a vital radio station and network by balancing often difficult news reports with programming that heals and facilitates human connections.
